Introducing Cultural Anthropology: Essential Readings

  • Used Book in Good Condition
"This anthology surveys the kind of readings that provide today’s student of cultural anthropology with a first-rate introduction to the field. The collection constitutes a useful complement to any basic introductory text. The articles go beyond didactic discussion and review of concepts, terms, theories, and principles. Additional selections treat timely subject matter in a student-oriented manner. Many anthropologists whose articles are included in this anthology are recognized as pioneers in the field of cultural anthropology. Taken as a whole, this anthology serves to introduce first-time students of cultural anthropology to the depth and range of the discipline."
