"It Ain't What You Think" was originally recorded and released by Gospel Time/J&B Records. It features a classic lineup of the group with members Robert Lee "Sugar" Hightower, Tommy Seymore, Kevin Cloud, Bob Evans, Daniel Scott, and Eddie Johnson accompanying Slim. This album contains a combination of original compositions by Rev. Hunt, and amazing interpretations of Gospel standards, all done in the way only Slim & The Supreme Angels could do it. But perhaps it's simplest to just quote a promoter's comments when he heard this album:

"I've been enjoying Gospel music all my life, in concert and on TV and radio. Listening to Slim and The Supreme Angels never ceases to amaze me. All of the LP's are fantastic, but this one takes the cake. It's exciting, full of energy, and filled with the fire and the Holy Ghost.
