CHARACTERISTICS. The "Triticum dicoccum" is a variety of spelt cultivated in Tuscany, the most suitable land for this grain with excellent organoleptic characteristics. The particular husking and pearling processes allow a high estate of cooking and make the grains larger and well separated.
HOW TO USE. Italian Farro is ideal for soups, pulse and vegetable soups in wintertime and for salads or fresh dishes in summertime. Paired with beans and vegetables for instance, it makes a simple soup with outstanding perfume and flavor.
HOW TO COOK. Do not soak. Rinse and cook for 25/30'. Salt after cooking.
HOW TO STORE. Store in a cool and dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.
