- JVCC UHMW-PE-3 UHMW Polyethylene Film Tape is a 3 mil ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene film with an aggressive acrylic adhesive. Its high chemical and abrasion resistance and extremely low coefficient of friction make this a versatile engineering material for many severe service applications.
- Materials slide freely over the tape surface with no-slip/stick tendency. High impact strength and shock-absorbing properties. Outwears Teflon many times over and is a good replacement when high-temperature resistance is not a requirement.
- Applications include: rub strips on conveyors; bearings and sliding surfaces; chutes and hopper liners; dead plates; wear pads; guide rails; tool tables and fences; furniture and drawer slides/runners.
- Carrier/Backing: UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) polyethylene film. Adhesive: acrylic. Release Liner: white paper or blue film.
- Thickness: 9 mils (carrier, adhesive, liner) 5 mils (carrier, adhesive) 2 mils (adhesive) 3 mils (carrier) 4 mils (liner). Adhesion: 50 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel). Tensile Strength: 18 pounds per inch (longitudinal). Service/Operating Temperature: up to 300F. Elongation: 300%. Core: 3-inch diameter.

NOTES: Sizes shipped will typically be the tape industry standard metric-cut sizes, i.e. 24mm for each 1 inch of nominal tape width ordered (rolls are approximately 5% narrower than the nominal size).
