After tasting the waters at more than two dozen sites up and down the Washington and Oregon coast, Ben Jacobsen decided he liked Netarts Bay best. Jacobsen's proprietary evaporation process takes over 40 hours to complete, but the end product is worth the wait! Instead of a standard cube shape the slow evaporation process causes the salt to form into pyramid crystals, which is what gives it its unique, powerful flavor. All of the salt is hand sorted. The smaller salt crystals are set aside to make these great infusions. Jacobsen's hand-harvested salt is by far the best grinding salt in America. Use them to season, brine, bake, cook, pickle, or finish just about everything.
