Most of the score's melody is played by either clarinet, bass clarinet, or saxophone. The music is composed by Jeffery Richmond, who is also a producer for 30 Rock. Moreover, Richmond wrote the theme music, which was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award Â® for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music. In 2009, 30 Rock the series was nominated for 22 Primetime Emmy Awards Â®, the most ever in a single year for a comedy series.
