Kantuta

Kantuta are New Zealand's top Latin American dance band, resident in Auckland. They have performed all over New Zealand and perform original material with Latino/Pacific rhythms, including songs in both Spanish and English.

The original line-up of the group consisted of Eduardo Diaz (Chile) vocals, quena and flutes; Alvaro Diaz (Chile) vocals and charango; Edwin Westermeier (Chile) Congos, bongos etc; Joao De Silva (Brazil) guitar and vocals; Michel Eliard (Belgium) Guitar and vocals; Cameron McKenzie (NZ) Sax, piano and keyboards; Paul Shand (Scotland) bass, guitar and backing vocals and Mike Abbott (NZ) drums.
Kantuta is New Zealand's Top Latin dance band achieving both Gold and Platinum Records with their 3 album releases: Kantuta, Pacifico, Fiesta. They have performed internationally in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Australia, and the Pacific.
