Good quality product, but the box seems a little small for the price. Also fair warning for American consumers: There is NO english on this box at all. One packet makes about two cups of stock. There are 10 packets in the box.
This was my first foray into Japanese cooking. I bought to make oyakadon and it is wonderful. Nice flavor, not overpowering at all, and easy to use without needing to make dashi from scratch. Next time, I will be ordering the dashi with both bonito and kombu, but I was able to find some kombu locally, so I am using that in the meantime. If you don't use dashi, you should start. There is a reason it's a common broth. Lots of flavor, and it will go with most any protein.
Its just fine i guess. It dissolves in water, I don't know what else to say about it. It does not have english instructions but it says grams number on the back so it wasn't too hard to figure out. Tastes kind of fishy XD
