The material is designed to mimic human flesh with 3 layers imitating the skin, fat and muscle. This Kenley product creates a realistic alternative to practicing suturing on actual flesh. The suture pad is hygienic and much easier and safer to use than asking the butcher for a pig's foot.
Ideal teaching aid
Designed to be used up to 100 times, this Kenley Suture Pad is a great teaching tool. It not only lets teachers demonstrate how to correctly suture a wound depending on the type but can also be used to demonstrate wound types and treatments, including surgery incisions, to patients as well as students learning to treat wounds in a hospital or first aid setting. A scalpel can be used to alter the existing incisions or add new ones. At 7.25x5.25in (18x13cm) the pad is larger than many on the market yet still compact and easy to store.
