Designed with functional style by Emerson and built with maximum quality by Kershaw, the CQC-9K is sure to please. Measuring a beastly 3.6 inches, the drop-point blade is made of 8Cr14MoV stainless steel, good for edge retention, hardness and wear resistance. Coated with a matte black-oxide finish for extra protection and a sleek style, the blade is also slightly recurved for cutting rounded materials like hose or rope. The handle is contoured for comfort and combines a black-oxide coated stainless steel back and a secure frame lock with a textured G-10 front scale for secure grip, while a reversible pocketclip allows left or right handed carry. The CQC-9K's manual opening blade is accessed with the thumb disk or the patented Emerson “wave-shaped feature". A small wave-shaped tab on top of the blade is built to catch on a pocket seam, opening the knife immediately after removal from the pocket. This instant-open feature is a favorite among military, rescue and law enforcement users.
