Kichler Lighting 5903CLR Clear 100W 120V T-3 Mini-Can Base Tungsten Halogen is suitable for use with all Kichler lights requiring Halogen lamps with the same base. Halogen lamps provide a small, highly efficient white light source with excellent color rendering. Unlike standard incandescent lamps, halogen lamps use a halogen gas, which allows the bulbs to burn more intensely without sacrificing life and in a more compact dimension and usually offers a higher CRI than incandescent. Do not touch or handle the quartz glass with bare fingers. Contaminants can burn in at high operating temperatures and cause glass to re-crystalize. This makes the glass opaque and milky; it increasingly loses its strength and the risk of bursting increases. If lamp is touched, clean with rubbing alcohol and wipe dry with a soft, clean lint-free cloth before operating. This lamp operates at higher efficiencies than conventional incandescent lamps, operating in a ‘halogen regenerative cycle which maintains nearly constant light output and color temperature throughout the life of the lamp. The halogen cycle permits the use of more compact bulbs than those of conventional tungsten-filament lamps of comparable ratings. It also permits either increasing lamp life to approximately twice that of conventional tungsten-filament lamps of comparable wattage, color temperature and light output, or increasing light outputs and color temperature to values significantly above those of conventional tungsten-filament lamps having comparable life and wattage. 5903CLR comes one per package.
