Let's face it, most kitchen sink strainers on the market today have probably disappointed you in one way or another. Some are clog-resistant, but let too much food through. Some leave gross ponds of murky water in the sink. Others look nice, but the large outside rim does not allow food and water to pass into the basket. At Dripsie, we had to deal with these same design flaws day after day.

Instead of sitting on top of the drain, Dripsie sits in the drain, so you don't have to coax the food scraps over and into the basket. A unique combination of drain holes and air vents work to prevent your sink from backing up with dirty water. Unique flexible design fits snugly in the drain, meaning no scraps sneak through the sides.

To use, place the strainer into your drain, and watch it work; catching every scrap while still allowing water to flow freely. Even when the basket is full of scraps, the slightly higher center stem will continue to drain water. When it's time to empty the strainer, pull it out using the center stem and dump the scraps into your wastebasket or compost. When needed, wash in the dishwasher.
