Buddy Thomas, who died in 1974, was an extraordinarily gifted fiddler from the town of Emerson in northeastern Kentucky. Raised in humble circumstances, Buddy learned to play the complex and affecting melodies of his homeland. With so many uncommon tunes and such a firm grasp of traditional technique, Buddy left behind one of the finest albums of Appalachian fiddle music yet recorded. Produced by Mark Wilson and Guthrie T. Meade.
