- 100% Peruvian wool: Made from 100% Peruvian Highland wool, Knit Picks Wool of the Andes is the perfect yarn for projects that will get used daily, like your favorite sweater, hat, or blanket. Peruvian Highland wool is a strong fiber that has an excellent balance of structure, loft, and drape. As a "sticky" wool–meaning the fibers grip lightly together, Knit Picks Wool of the Andes is an ideal choice for both stranded colorwork and intarsia because stitches "stick" in place, won’t shift or loosen as you work.

- Durable and warm: Wonderfully warm for all weather, Knit Picks Wool of the Andes has excellent stitch definition and heirloom durability. As a worsted weight yarn, it’s a happy medium weight that’s commonly used for everything from garments to home goods.
- Gauge and Care Instructions: For knitting, 4.5 - 5 sts = 1" on US 6-9 needles; For crochet, 11–14 sc = 4'' on I-K hooks. Hand wash in lukewarm water and dry flat; yarn can felt with warm water and agitation
