I have ordered Levi's 505 from Amazon before without any issue on the size. Actually, one of the pairs I have bought in the past are my favorite pair of pants. This particular pair of pants was ordered the same size as other Levi's 505 I have purchased successfully. However, this pair was much too small. Also, the pants, strangely enough, did not have the typical tags and stickers on in - which seemed odd.
To add insult to injury, when I tried the pair on, I noticed something strange in the front pocket. What I found was a opened Kleenex package in the front left pocket (one of those pocket-sized packages). I understand there is a chance someone may try on the pants and return them. However, I do not expect them to have been worn to the degree that someone would leave something in the front pocket. Even if that were the case, the seller should have exercised enough Quality Assurance and attention to the re-packaging details to make sure the package I received was as...
Horrible quality, came undone after a month of being received. I have used Levi's my whole life and this is the first time something like this happens....
As of 2016, LS is still cutting 505 jeans as "low-boy" hip-huggers. Whether made in Lesotho, Pakistan, or Vietnam, they are cut the same: much shorter in the crotch. The pockets are shorter, too, so items fly out of them when you pick them up off the shelf/chair/floor! Specifically, by comparison with a brand-new pair of 34x29 from 1999: 21st century 505's are 11 3/4" front (top of waistband to crotch seam along the fly), 15 1/2" rear (top of waistband to crotch seam at middle belt loop), and 9 1/8" tall pocket (front tip to bottom of waistband). 20th century 505's were 12 3/8" front, 16 1/2" rear, and 10 3/8" pocket. That's a big difference! Does it save money to shorten the uppers? Yes, though I bet LS did it for fashion reasons, not cost-cutting. But they should have called the modern cut "505L" or "506" or somesuch. So, what can you do? Well, try Wrangler jeans, which don't fit the same, but if you've never tried them,...
