What can UPB Lighting Do For Me?

UPB lighting allows you to control all of your lights from a single push-button interface, improving safety and energy savings. Even when used stand-alone, you can establish scenes based upon your activities. Press one button and have all connected lights adjust to 0, 25, 50, 75, or 100 percent. You can dim a load from 0 to 100 percent. You can press one button at night to turn off every light in your home, or push the same button to wake up your house in case of emergency.

Plug-in modules, remote controls, and scene switches are available to form a complete stand-alone solution in addition to individual switches. Of course, when tied into a Leviton automation system, the devices become even smarter, allowing for automatic adjustment based upon schedule or event.

Why Should I Use a Leviton UPB Smart Switch?

This device is UL Listed and uses Generation III Universal Powerline Bus (UPB) — a digital communications standard for lighting and home control that ensures superior reliability. UPB has been extensively tested and researched in single-family residential environments and found to be 99.9 percent reliable. UPB works over existing wires in a home and does not require new wiring. Universal Powerline Bus (UPB) is a hardwired communication standard, perfect for new construction or retrofit.

The 600-watt CFL/LED Dimmer Switch features a special dimming curve that is optimized for CFL and LED bulbs, but can also control high efficiency incandescent or halogen bulbs up to 600 watts. The dimming curve provides smooth dimming throughout the entire range regardless of the bulb type. The CFL/LED Dimmer also features a minimal brightness level to prevent the bulb from flickering and an auto-off feature, ideal for pantries, closets, and other spaces where light is not always needed. A small LED on the switch will blink when the switch is timing out.

Can I Get UPB Switches in Multiple Color Options?

Yes, this device ships white. Switch Color Change Kits, sold in case lots of 12 only, are available in White, Ivory, Almond, Light Almond, Brown, Grey, and Black. Even the LED indicator lights at the top of the switches can be programmed to glow blue, red, magenta, or turned off entirely.
