-PROS 2 stage warning, 1st warning: Red LED will flash when cell is below 3.3V, and 2nd warning: Alarm will sound when cell is below 3.0V. Very compact @: 1.5"L x .75"W x .5"H || 37mm x 21mm x 10mm Protected by clear durable heat shrink to prevent any shorts while connecting the battery.
-CONS Intended for 3.7V(1S), 7.4V(2S), or 11.1V(3S) LIPO packs ONLY Pins may bend if stored improperly.
-Some directions (for those in need): You need to look closely at the board near the 4 pins to see the positive and negative leads/pins so that you can connect this up to your LIPO correctly. The black wire on you LIPO will be your negative, so connect it according to the negative on your LIPO connector to the negative on your tester. Picture uploaded above is an example.
-Other information (for those in need): In case you are wondering... there are 6 LED lights 3 Green, and 3 Red. The amount of LED's that light up depends on your...
product came in a package indicating it was a lipo battery, and contained absolutely no instructions.
In most applications, You will not see the lights when your battery is installed and in use. But you will hear the alarm sound that goes off at critical low voltage if you aren't to far away. Notice I used the words "critical voltage" as in by the time the alarm goes off, You need to shut down immediately, as 3 volts a cell is lower then most lipo users like to go. ( also lower then allot of factory recommendations.)
In short, this is a last line of defense warning that in my opinion, goes off after you have already gone below what I consider a safe voltage level, and I would not ( will not ) depend on this device alone when using my lipos. Its worth the 7 bucks I paid for it, but there are better alarms out there. if I need another, I will most likely buy one with a higher or programmable cut off level.
this product is not programmable , and...
Does what it's supposed to. It's beeping is very loud, which is good, cause it's sure to get your attention. There are a few problems I have with it, one of which is that the lights are so bright. I keep this in my gun's buffer tube, so the brightness isn't a problem for the eyes, it's just I worry that it may be draining the battery faster. I have no real data to prove or disprove this, but it seems like common sense that the more electricity you take from the battery, the faster the battery will die. Either way, very nice addition to any player who uses a LiPo battery. It'll save you the trouble of damaging cells. Another problem is that even when inserted all the way, a little bit of the prongs are still exposed, so you could get a shock if you touched it. Either way, it seems like you would have to work at it to get shocked, but it's worth mentioning. The only thing I think would make this better (Besides fixing the two problems listed above) would be an actual battery percentage...
