I bought this for my 1 yr old grandson's birthday and he loves the sound and was delighted brushing the ground changing the color - his 3 yr old brother also likes the brushing motion
I bought this toy online before seeing in person and I wish I hadn't. First, the brush bristles hardly move at all and are a hard plastic. I thought they would be more like a fiber-optic cable type bristles or something. The hard plastic bristles are mostly stuck together so you can barely move them. The bristles change colors due to a light coming from the base of the brush but the colors are really faint and not easy to see. It is also really actually kind of hard to make it "paint" as you have to press pretty hard to make the base pivot which is what activates the colors and noises. But the thing that really bothers me the most is the stupid noises that come out of the brush when you "paint" with it. It makes a lot of "boooiinnggg", crashing, and slide-whistle type noises. Why would a paint brush make these noises?! It is really durable, I'll give it that. My daughter has dropped it in boredom many times and it still works.
The plastic on the brush has a strong and weird smell. Looks very cool and sounds are fun though.
