- The saw plate is taper-ground and gets progressively thinner (approx. 0.005 inches) from the teeth to the back of the saw. This greatly reduced binding in the cuts.

It comes with a handle made from stained European Beech and has brass button screws. The handle is attractive and comfortable in use. The 20" blade has 4.5 TPI and is filed for rip cutting. This saw can be resharpened.
