[TRUSTED BRAND] As a leading producer of Medical Equipment and Supplies, Illinois-based and family-owned Hutchison Medical has been selling high-quality Jaundice Detectors since 2017. The MBJ20 Jaundice Detector from Hutchison Medical is a handhold instrument used in the dynamic clinical examination of neonate jaundice. It non-invasively and instantly tests transcutaneous concentration of bilirubin correlative with serum bilirubin.
[FOR CLINICAL USE ONLY] Do not order for home use or to resell - we confirm that every detector is purchased by the Clinical end user.
[HOW IT WORKS] The MBJ20 Jaundice Detector measures the difference in light absorption in the blue and green parts of the spectrum to determine the yellowness of the skin. This difference is linearly correlated with bilirubin concentration, and the detector uses this correlation to calculate a bilirubin level. The device is not as accurate on dark-skinned babies.
[WHAT IT IS USED FOR] The detector is a non-invasive SCREENING tool to identify newborns who are at risk of hyperbilirubinemia. It can be used on infants as young as 35 weeks gestational age.
[FEATURES] Only requiring the user to power on the device and place it gently on the baby's sternum, results are clearly displayed on an easy-to-read LCD screen within seconds. Streamlined design makes it small and compact. This handheld device is lightweight and easy to hold, allowing for convenient testing anywhere needed. Long service life, low energy consumption and does not require any consumables other than two AA batteries.
[BENEFITS] The detector can help reduce the need for blood sampling.
[CONVENIENT SELF CALIBRATION CHECK] Does not require any factory-scheduled calibration. Calibration can be checked whenever desired with included calibration tool OR from actual bilirubin lab test results.
[WARRANTY] Hutchison Medical offers a one (1) year limited warranty on the MBJ20. This product is warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and product performance. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser/user and is therefore non transferable.
