Can you close when you have taller 750 wine bottle ---- such as with Rieslings & Alsace?
The interior height is 11.5inch, so normally 750ml wine taller is ok and it can hold 6 bottles

Is the carrier collapsible for travel?
Yes, it can fold flat when not in use
