Great little board. Doesn't have anything special with it but it has everything most people would use it for. Has ample USB ports (USB 2/3), Onboard Video if you aren't going to be gaming (the cpu has to have HD Graphics supported), HDMI/VGA ports so you have a choice there, Optical audio (I don't use it but you can) along with analog audio, doesn't support SLI but if you are buying this board, you aren't going to go SLI (it wouldn't make sense to spend so little on the board if you are going to get really good graphics) but does support Crossfire (AMD's Multi GPU solution) so you can do that which would be easier for some, and it supports decently fast ram. This was built for a friend that was going to use it for computer work/word processing and web browsing. It can and will deliver with a dual core i3 and 8gb of ram with no problem at all. It can handle PCI-E 3.0 and the best cards out their (as far as I know) so if you ever want to upgrade, it can. Just have to use Crossfire...
Motherboard is fine, I got it while my other Msi board is rma to fix the ram slots. I have to say it does look good in my blue Nzxt s340 case. It was very easy to install especially being that my other board was Msi too so it booted up just like normal. The main reason I picked this board for a temporary replacement for my motherboard was because of the right angled usb 3.0 and sata headers and it had two pcie x16 slots. Now my main gripe is the pcie x16 placements on the board. First the top 3.0 pcie x16 slot placement does not leave enough room to put a full sized double slot graphics card into it being the ram slot clips do not allow for clearance. So that being said I had to go down the the pcie x16 2.0 slot which almost made it to where I would of have to run my system without my r9 390. I had to take my Nzxt cable management shroud off the case and the front hd audio headers were in the way. It took me at least an hour to get this big card in. I know this isn't a full sized...
Board installed but had continuous trouble with the uefi bios in an admittedly severe triple boot situation that the old MBR bios handled easily. Finally got it working and it lasted 6 weeks before it refused to participate in my desired computing activities. No return due to the "31 day" limit being exceeded but an MSI tech support person was very helpful in confirming that the bios was indeed no longer functioning and issued an RMA. The package has been sent to MSI.
