Muggy es el príncipe de Perrolandia, una isla diminuta con playas de arena blanca y palmeras, donde todos los perritos viven muy felices juntos. El abuelo de Muggy, el viejo rey Muggeridge, es un rey sabio y bueno. La figura de «Muggy, el perrito feliz» fue originalmente creada por Jen Sussman. «Muggy» está basado en sus experiencias viviendo con el perrito real Muggy en la isla de Ibiza, en el Mediterráneo.
