S©rgio Mendes new album, Magic, was recorded in Los Angeles and Salvador, Bahia with a host of friends and special guests. The album kicks off with the powerful anthem, One Nation, featuring fellow Brazilian Carlinhos Brown, and is a tribute to soccer fans worldwide that was included on the official FIFA World Cup 2014 album. John Legend and will.i.am, old friends of S©rgio, were again at hand to collaborate with Mendes. The modern, pop oriented My My My My Love is S©rgio and Will at their best with an infectious groove. Don t Say Goodbye features John Legend s beautiful lyrics and vocal that will delight fans of both artists. The album also includes a collaboration with Janelle Monae, the haunting Open Your Eyes. The Brazilian guest artists range from legendary to newcomer. Milton Nascimento performs his own composition, Olha A Rua and singer Gracinha Leporace, who is S©rgio s wife, performs on two tracks. The new generation is represented by Maria Gadu, singing her own lyrics on Meu Rio, and Ana Carolina with a touching interpretation of Guinga s Atlantica. Connecting all these songs is the voice of S©rgio Mendes piano, and his arrangements are something that is totally S©rgio always full of life and delivered with a smile.

One of the most successful Brazilian artists of all time, Mendes has recorded more than 35 albums, many of which are gold and platinum, and has won three Grammy Awards.
