- Why do some people have trouble with this mount sticking to their dashboard?
- Prior to mounting, you must clean the area or surface where you are placing the mount. Â Use an alcohol wipe top ensure the surface is totally free of dirt, oil, etc.
- Some cleaning solutions that people use on their dashboards are designed to be non-stick – for example, if you have used Armor All on your dash, if must be wiped clear with alcohol wipes before applying your mount to the surface
- Some dashboards have a curved design. The Stick On Magneto mount is designed to work on flat surfaces (not on contoured surfaces).Â
- Will the 3M adhesive damage my car?
- The adhesive is designed to hold strong, but once you remove the mount, if the adhesive lingers on the surface, you can use 3M Adhesive Remover or apply heat with a blow dryer and wipe off with a damp rag.
- How does it work?
- Apply the sticky base of the mount to a flat surface (high quality 3M adhesive is found on the base). The mount head contains strong neodymium magnets and these attract the metal plate – the package includes 3 metal plates, simply place one of these inside your phone case or adhere to the back of your phone / tablet – the magnetic attraction between the magnetic mount head and the metal plate holds your device in place.
