The Makita Heat Gun (model HG551V) is engineered to strip paint and varnish, thaw frozen metal pipes, loosen tile and putty, re-melt adhesives and more. The HG551V has a compact size with less weight for comfortable handling. The HG551V is powered by a 12 amp motor and delivers 1,400 watts of power for improved performance. The variable temperature control (180 to 1,020 Degrees F), and two-speed blower setting (8.8 and 16 cfm) offers heat and blowing options for a variety of applications. The thermocouple control maintains precise temperature with a ceramic core to protect the heating element for longer tool life.
