Man For The Morning (Salt Spring Island Friends Book 2)
The most romantic city in the world...
Single mother, Lynn McDonald, is on the trip of a lifetime. She's in Paris! And she has one goal, to see and feel everything wondrous in the incomparable City of Light. She laughs at herself for being the world's keenest, most enthusiastic tourist. Lynn is more than ready to meet and fall in love with a magical city. What she's not expecting is to run headlong into romance.
Cool, jaded Paul Severns, an acclaimed film director, has given up on the idea of a forever love. One too many marriages will do that to a guy. He's handsome, rich, and alone by choice. He's taken himself out of the "Hollywood scene" and put his own career on hold, to spend time in Paris, helping a friend with her directorial debut. All he wants is alone time, but wanting to be alone doesn't make it so. Particularly when talented, beautiful actresses are dead set on getting a starring role in his next picture—and his bed.
When a friend asks Paul to meet a woman at the airport, he obliges. No big deal. He'll pick her up, settle her in her hotel, and be gone. He doesn't go. Instead he finds himself attracted to a sunshine personality, a direct green-eyed gaze, straightforward conversation, and an unselfish generous spirit.
What Paul lacks in emotional courage, Lynn, as a widow and mother to a challenged son, has in abundance. Lynn believes in the power of love and has reason to; only love sustained her through loss and years of solitude.
He doesn't expect Lynn to go along with it. But she does.
And she packs some strings...

I loved visiting Paris and couldn't wait to write a book and take another trip there with one of my heroines. Lynn McDonald was the perfect choice. If you read one of my prior books, CALIFORNIA MAN, you might remember her as the good friend of Emily Welland, the shy bookstore owner, who found her special hero on Salt Spring Island.
I hope you enjoy reading Lynn and Paul's love story as much as I enjoyed writing it. :-)
