Great book for any cook. This book is loaded with information on the Mediterranean Diet, including its rules and guidelines, benefits, how-tos, pantry/kitchen advice, FAQs and more. There is also so many recipes in this book there is no way you could get bored with the diet. The recipes are divided out by breakfast, lunch, snacks, sides, dinner, and salads (fruit, veggie, meat & seafood and dressings). They are easy to follow, have great descriptions and common ingredients. Some that caught my attention include a Mediterranean yogurt, couscous, and tzatziki
If you have never read about the benefits of the Mediterranean diet, then this book is a great introduction to it. It explains the benefits of the Mediterranean diet and contains an amazing number of recipes, delicious and easy. From sweet to spicy, and for any time of the day, you can find something to your liking. One of my favorite breakfast recipes is Fruit and Nut Breakfast -- it definitely beats any store-brought heavily processed cereal. And for later in the day, Greek Shrimp Pasta, Stuffed Bell Peppers, or Tomato Soup are great, just to name a few. A lot of the herbs and spices are the same in different recipes, and that makes shopping and cooking quite easy. Five stars!
