Additional Information

2013 release, the fifth album from this Indie band led by Casey Crescenzo, formerly of Post-Hardcore outfit The Receiving End Of Sirens. The Dear Hunter recorded Migrant earlier this year at Vu Du Studios in Long Island, NY with producer Mike Watts, after almost two years supporting their critically acclaimed 36-track collection: The Color Spectrum. Prior to The Color Spectrum, The Dear Hunter also embarked on another concept project - a six album series chronicling the story of a boy at the turn of the century only referred to as The Dear Hunter (Acts I - III currently released). While Migrant takes a departure from the band's previous use of an overarching concept, it remains true to their signature grandiose sound, fueled by Crescenzo's soulful vocals.

Most Helpful Customer Reviews

I've only been fan of The Dear Hunter for about 4 months, but I have listened to all of their albums several times over that time span. Migrant is a slight departure from the Acts and The Color Spectrum and honestly it took about 3 listens to really get into it. As of now, it's my least my favorite of their albums, but that doesn't mean it's bad by any means. If you like TDH then you will like Migrant, you just might not love it.
The Dear Hunter's first non-concept album is absolutely beautiful. Check out "Shouting at the Rain" and "The Kiss of Life."
The Dear Hunter steps outside of their typical "theme" theme and produced an amazing album. Do yourself a favor and buy deluxe. The bonus tracks are worth the cost of the album alone.
