Miniature Fairy Garden Snowflake Sled

Sleds were originally created as a way to get around the fairyhood when snowy flakes fell from the sky. The Snowflake Sled is a mini replica of an old-fashioned wooden sled with rails. Adding a touch of winter to the design, a Nordic snowflake pattern is stamped on the top of the sled with a green border framing it. Using a distressed finish over the classic red paint makes the sled look as though it has seen its share of downhill runs. In the colder climates, sleds are used today by thrill seekers donned in stocking caps and mittens. Have some fun by placing, at the bottom of the hill, a pair of skates near a frozen pond. It will look like the wee folk are going to ice skate some figure eight's at the end of their exciting ride. By starting with the sled, mini gardeners will be able to add their personal accessories to create the winter scene of their dream.
