During WWII the United States Navy ? Marine Corps needed a fast heavily armed aircraft that could be used to attack Japanese shipping to help block the flow of supplies to Japanese forces in the Pacific and re-supply of the Japanese Home Islands. The USAAF B-25H/J was adapted to fill this role and with the addition of early airborne radar. The aircraft proved to be very effective in destroying enemy shipping. The United States Marine Corps used the PBJ effectively to the end of WWII in August 1945. Minicraft Models PBJ features the heavily armed 75mm cannon nose aircraft with tooling for 2 types of radar units found on the PBJ along with markings representing 2 aircraft from United States Navy - Marine Corps service.
