I honestly thought I was already a minimalist before I read this book. Apparently, minimalism can mean a lot of things as explained in the first section of the book; there is more to it than just thinking of a blank space in your house where you can relax and shun away the stress that's eating your life.
A quick and easy read, this book is truly a step-by-step guide where you can contemplate on different areas of your life that needs de-cluttering. I, for instance, have the tendency to keep stuff that I don't use just because there's still this tiny thought that I might use it in the future. Unfortunately, it doesn't really happen so I also need to practice the art of letting go. A part that really caught my attention was about the mental clutter where we should learn to take some time off and just meditate. This is important as mental stress can take its toll and have negative effects.

This is a decent overview of how to declutter all aspects of your life. I enjoyed that the author starts with your mindset. We all know that, especially with new years resolutions vivid in our minds, that we often make a change, only to let the clutter creep back in to our lives. But, if you start with a mindset adjustment, and also start small, this author argues that it's more likely for the change to be long lasting. Something to note is that this guide is geared towards families with larger (multi-room) homes. My girlfriend and I rent a room in a big house, but there was still some good wisdom here.
I loved this book. It gave some great tips on better clutter management. The author took a lot of time to think about the advice she was giving here. The author targets people with families that don't have a lot of space. It gives a 'less is more' approach to everyday living. The book is easy to read and the information is quick to find if you want to reference something.
Some of the tips she gives is to de-clutter your mind. Limit the information that you are receiving, including cutting down on social media, news, ect. And only tackle one project at a time. She emphasizes not to overwhelm yourself. I would recommend this book to many of my friends and family. It was a joy to read.
