Install:

1. The small post is the 12 volts (positive) from the switch inside the vehicle when it is in the start position. 
2. There is no negative to this solenoid other than the case itself.
3.  The negative is through the chassis ground.
4.  If you have a negative wire it would go to the screws that hold the unit to the firewall
