**I wanted to update the review to say that one of air filled tires exploded after 4 months of daily use!! The tire didn't just lose air..it actually exploded.. :(. As a result we purchased the never flat tires for an additional $135 and they are crappy plastic with much less traction and a less smoother ride in the city. Strollers are our second car in Boston (we live downtown) so while we're not unwilling to spend $$$ to maintain and use it..it's also a bummer that we spent $700 all in on this (with the infant carrycot) before the new tires and the original tires lasted 4 months. We also own the mountain buggy +1 and the tires have lasted us 3 solid years with almost daily use...so just saying..buyer beware. Despite the wheel situation I would still recommend this as a great space saver BUT definitely a bummer at the shoddy craftsmanship.**
Pros: -Perfect size stroller for getting in and out of city shops and doorways w/2 kids -air filled tires handle bumpy...
I was torn between this and the Baby Jogger City Mini GT double stroller, but the 25" width of this one won me over. I've been using it for 2 months now with our newborn and 20 month old, and I definitely like it. My 20 month old seems to prefer this over the City Mini GT single stroller even. The seats are narrower, but that isn't a problem for us. The folding mechanism is fine, but that would definitely be the strength of the City Mini GT over this one. Having said that, I do not have buyer's remorse though because the Duet is so much narrower and the bottom storage holds much more and is easy to access. I really like how my diaper bag actually fits under this stroller (I have a JuJuBe BFF) along with a few other items (a deflated travel nursing pillow, JJ Cole diaper clutch and a couple toys that I rotate).
A few times I've been told that my stroller won't fit somewhere. Each time I've responded that I would like to try since it is narrower than it appears,...
I bought a mountain buggy duet a couple of month ago worked fine for a month besides for it being really heavy and having the metal piece that can cut your toes off if dropped while folding. Then the tires started busting not once but 4 times within the 1st year. This last time while we were out of town for the weekend and needing to catch a flight and use the stroller for the airport not only did the tube bust but the whole tire shredded. We searched every local bike store and no one carried the Tire and tube which were both destroyed. so we finally call mountain buggy who said their tires and tubes are not under warranty and said I’ll have to order them on line from a third party cause they didn't have any in stock and pay for shipping (they don't offer overnight) and when i complained that their product is unreliable he said it’s MY negligence and i should have stocked up on spare parts and then hung up on me. i don't EVER complain online or write...
