Transform your non-macro lenses into a tool for professional-grade macro photography with the Movo Photo AF 25mm Macro Extension Tube to create the exact magnification you need to capture the perfect macro shot. The longer the tube length the closer the lens can focus.
Macro photography allows extreme close-up shots, enlarging the image subject to many times actual size. Capture nature at its most vivid, lifelike and immediate; photograph insects, plants and flowers, small animals in incredible and dramatic detail; examine textures as never before; explore new boundaries of photography.
The Movo Photo AF 25mm Macro Extension Tube gives you the tools to reproduce professional-style shots, just like you see in magazines in books. Extension tubes do not contain optics, they simply reduce the normal minimum focusing distance without degrading original optical quality. Conveniently maintain auto-focus at f/5.6 or brighter to ensure a great shot.

At first I couldn't twist this all the way onto the camera. Both D40 and D5100. But it attached OK to a D80. A close look showed that the sharp edge of the tab on this extension tube catches on the side of the "EE servo post" on the lower left side of the lens (as seen looking at the camera from the lens side). If you hold down that thingy on the camera with a small tool, you can finish twisting the extension tube all the way so it locks on.
On the D80, like the older film Nikon cameras, and the higher-end DSLRs, the "EE servo post" moves sideways (along the twist) and thus has no problems with this extension tube. See the first photo, showing the tab on the tube after moving the post on a D80 to the right. On the D40, D60, D3xxx and D5xxx, that post moves down (into the camera body) instead. This allows non-AI lenses to be mounted on these cameras with no damage. The left side of the post on the camera is sloped, to translate the sideways motion of...
Locking/not fitting? There are a number of complaints about this product (N25) and most of the complaints are about the product not fitting/locking. This is a universal mount and if you just take a second to look you will see that here is a small "hook" on the outer edge of the extension tube. On the NEW DSLRs there is also a corresponding pin on the camera body. Right below the shutter button on the lens mount opening. The 'hook" hangs up when rotating the ring onto the camera. All that is necessary is to retract the pin with your finger nail or a paper clip or a piece of cardboard. The ring will them rotate fully into the lock position. It works great in "AUTO" mode and "Auto Focus" mode. I bougth it for my D3300 and also was frustrated to find that it 'DID'NT" fit. Ten seconds of looking at the mount revealed the "HOOK" problem. No biggie. Just take a second to look at the mechanics. Love the product and for the money I now have a GREAT macro...
Initial thoughts: it works great.Does exactly what I needed now until I get get a dedicated macro lens but this might be a better solution. Turns my 50, 85 and any other lens into a macro. The outside is made of plastic but the mounts are metal. I'm using this tube on a Sony A7II with a Nikon Fotasy F Adapter and Zeiss Milvus glass. I would hold or stay near the camera when using heavy glass like mine. I would say with the tubes on my lenses, the 50 is around 1:2 and the 85 is around 1:4. Zeiss lenses have closer working distances and magnification so your results will vary. I just hope the plastic holds up over time.
