Music of the Spheres - Quartal Tenor, Medium-Large Handcrafted Wind Chime, Precision Tuned, Weather-resistant Unique Outdoor Wind Chimes, 60"
Musically Tuned - The quartal scale is a musical palindrome, which is based on intervals of fourths and fifths. Its smooth and serene sound captivated American composers, notably Aaron Copland and Paul Hindemith, in the early twentieth century. We use this scale in our contrabass and basso profundo chimes.
Made in the USA - Music of the Spheres wind chimes are individually handcrafted and come in 5 sizes (Soprano, Mezzo-Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) with 11 tunings (Pentatonic, Hawaiian, Quartal, Balinese, Chinese, Japanese, Mongolian, Whole Tone, Aquarian, Gypsy and Nashville) and the Westminster, Contrabass and Basso Profundo are offered in one unique size and tuning.
All Weather - Tempered aluminum alloy tubing is custom manufactured to our exacting specifications and will never rust. Our finish preserves the wind chime's appearance and increases durability in hostile outdoor environments.
Advanced Materials - Tough synthetic cordage is highly resistant to abrasion, and ultra-violet degradation. Central tube suspension with smoothly polished tube ends prevent cord abrasion typical of other, less labor-intensive tubular wind chimes suspension techniques.
Detachable Windcatcher - With the same material and finish as the tubes, our windcatcher is the ideal size, weight, and shape for optimal chime performance in 8 - 10 mph wind velocity. The hook assembly provides a simple but effective method of varying the wind chime's activity level.
A musical palindrome, the Quartal scale is based on intervals of fourths and fifths. The size(voice) tenor is one half octave higher than the size(voice) bass. The overall hanging length, from the top of the knot to the bottom of the windcatcher is 60". The weight is 27lbs.
