Four of us - ages 37-43 - had a screaming, hysterical time with this on New Year's Eve. Played it twice in a row and had a grand time. A couple of us have pretty good music knowledge (e.g., were radio dj's in college), and it was still pretty challenging. There's a good mix of questions about pretty obscure and pretty popular music. The only fault we noticed was that the game apparently got the video rights to just a few bands - LOTS of video questions about Wham, for instance.
Don't waste your money on this. The interface is clunky. You spend more time watching what happens between questions than playing the game and you'll be sick of the music within 15 minutes of playing it as it is so bad and they just repeat it over and over again. One of the questions said "Which of these Eagles members went on to have a successful career?" They listed Frey, Felder, Walsh and Henley. Now, since we're playing 80's edition? I think it's fair to answer Don Henley as he really had the most successful career of the four after the Eagles broke up. Granted Glen Frey had a huge hit and Joe Walsh has always been up there. They don't tell you what the right answer is if you get it wrong. I've played this thing without error until I got to this question. It is annoying, repetitive and you spend more time watching the corny graphics and listening to the annoying announcer than you do playing the game. BUYER BEWARE!
Didn't like the format on the tv screen. Difficult to choose categories.
