The built-in air pump creates compression, and the internal, removable gel pack can be chilled in the freezer or heated in the microwave. CAUTION PLACE A FABRIC INTERFACE BETWEEN THE GEL PACK AND THE SKIN PRIOR TO USING HOT OR COLD THERAPY.
