This 16 inch neck or back pillow is made from Indonesian Batik with a hand painted butterfly of yellows and greens on a reddish background. Filled with organic buckwheat hulls and 4 ounces of lavender buds, it weighs just under 2 pounds and measures 16 inches long by 6 inches high and 4 inches deep. This hand-made high quality support pillow may slightly vary in size. Those with allergies to feathers or other synthetics will appreciate buckwheat's hypo-allergenic properties. Unlike other pillow fillings, buckwheat hulls do not compress under pressure. This allows the pillow to mold to the contours of your body. The buckwheat hulls are 100% organic, natural and eco-friendly. To reinvigorate the pillow's scent, pinch or knead the pillow. You may feel the lavender buds open and release fresh scent. These one-of-a-kind Batiks are produced on the island of Java in Indonesia by skilled dye masters. Each yard of these sumptuous fabrics is unique. The fabric is hand-stamped and then hand-painted multiple times, with many different pairs of hands working on every yard. Most of the work is done outside, so the weather greatly influences the results.
