Our Night Vision Performance beats scopes priced 3-times higher. If you are looking for an inexpensive, lightweight, polymer construction, easy-to-operate night scope, NightShot is for you. There is a flat spot on one of the cross-bolts. These can be reversed to work in different mounts particularly “weaver mounts" where the spacing between the slots varies

for any rifle below 30 caliber bullet (magnum or non-magnum)

Caution for High-Profile Rails: This scope is optimized for guns with an approximate 2.0 to 2.5-inch distance from the center-line of scope to the center-line of barrel. If the rail on your gun is significantly higher than this, you may need something like a 20MOA picatinny riser to bring the impact point down.
Some Modern Sporting Rifles may have higher than normal center-line dimensions of bore to rifle scope. Weaver rails are common on tradition-style rifles (e.g. bolt-action or lever-action), don't have a higher than normal condition, and should not require an adaptor.
BATTERY LIFE
Expect battery life of 4.5 to 17.5 hours per set of batteries, depending on how you use the scope and the type of batteries. Poor quality batteries will shorten battery-life.
