The F-region is just part of it and for the introductory purposes, this work is quite useful and especially for final year undergraduate students. The F-region currents are generally weak and difficult to detect. However, their contributions to the earthâ€™s magnetic field variations are significant and cannot be ignored by field modelers. Therefore for accurate field models, we have to consider the effects from this source.
