The discreet aluminum pull-out handle smartly blends into the silver barrel to keep the note safely hidden inside the barrel. Once released the pull-out note automatically retracts by itself with the help of an inner spring. For strength and to prevent easy tearing the paper note is laminated on the inner side. INSTRUCTIONS for writing on the retractable note: unscrew and remove the front of the barrel to access internal parts, pull the "note module" out of the pen's barrel to add your notes and illustrations, put back the note module back into the barrel, turn the end piece with a latch counter-clockwise 5-6 times to engage the inner coil-spring, slide the end piece into the barrel by aligning the latch.
