- GYOKURO GREEN TEA: Gyokuro tea plants are grown in natural shade for 20 days to increase the amino acid content and umami of the young, organically grown green tea leaves.

- JAPANESE ORGANIC TEA: This organic green tea is grown in an award-winning mountainous plantation in Shizuoka, where the perfect climatic conditions exist for organic Japanese tea cultivation.
- VACUUM-SEALED FRESHNESS: Small batches of our Gyokuro green leaf tea are ordered weekly to ensure a long shelf-life, and the organic tea has also been vacuum-sealed to retain optimal freshness.

Shade grown without chemical fertilisers to increase the amino acid and Umami levels in the leaf. Smooth & light. Made with young organically grown leaves from a JAS certified organic plantations located at 400-600m above sea level (some of the highest in Japan) in the natural surroundings of the Southern Alps in Shizuoka, Japan. Cool temperatures in the mountain areas slows leaf growth and concentrates aroma in the leaf
Small batches are shipped from the manufacturer weekly to ensure long shelf-life. This tea has also been vacuum-sealed immediately after being processed to seal in the freshness. Teas from Ocha & Co. were selected to represent Japan at the 2015 Speciality & Fine Food Fair at Olympia in London and a Sencha from the plantation won first prize Japan`s top tea competiton in 2016
The Ocha & Co range is made up of the following high grade teas: Sencha, Fukamushi (deep-steamed sencha), Kabusecha (shade-grown), Reicha (asamushi & fukamushi blend for cold-brewing), Gyokuro (shade-grown) Kukicha (stems and twigs), Black Tea, Shincha (in season) and Matcha. The teas have been selected to strike a balance between quality and affordability. Some teas are now avaiable for Amazon FBA fulfillment but if not, are shipped Airmail the same day and only take between 7-10 days to arrive from Japan.
