Professionally selected for student use, the Omano OM118-M4 has is an ideal combination of durable all-metal construction and high quality glass optics. By combining a wide field WF10x eyepiece with four achromatic glass objective lenses (4x, 10x, 40x, 1,000x oil), the microscope provides magnification of 40x, 100x, 400x and 1,000x. Both the 40x and 100x objectives are spring-loaded to prevent damage to the glass slide being viewed. An important features for students is the coaxial coarse and fine focus controls. Coaxial focus is significantly easier than separate focus controls since the student can focus without having to look up. A mechanical slide holder enables easier slide handling.
