On Your Mark, Get Set, Dance!

“On Your Mark! Get Set! Dance!” CD is a recording for anybody who teaches children to move to music; it is not only for pre-ballet, but pre-school and day care setups. Children enter the space to beautiful piano music with a quiet, church-like chime for each individual child’s entrance.  The class is divided into segments: Seated Exercises, On Your Mark Dances (where children learn to space themselves by sitting/standing “on their marks”), Exploring Time Signatures, Across the Floor, Imaginative Parades, Familiar Children’s Songs, and Stories. All children love to sing, and this recording has piano accompaniment for some all time favorites: ABC's, If You're Happy and You Know It, B-I-N-G-O, etc. (There are no vocals on this recording).  The music is performed by pianist Steven Mitchell, who adds special ticking-clock sounds, maracas, chimes, and whistles.  And here the Happy Birthday song will always be on hand.
