The handle on this knife is as good, I think, as knife handles can be. Small hands, big hands--everyone should find the grip to be comfortable and secure. The finger guards are an extension of the overall handle and are well designed and appear to be very strong. The blade seems to me to be a compromise--that is to say, it is designed to be both a fighting knife and a woods knife (a bushcrafty kind of blade, if you will). The saw teeth do not appear to be functional in any serious way, but they do provide a resting place for the thumb when attempting finer work on wood and as such do not at all cause any discomfort. If this knife were to be used primarily in the woods, it might be worthwhile to trim the top finger guard down a bit, but even as is, it's not bad. The top portion of the blade, about 1 3/4" in length, has an edge, but is not especially sharp. I intend to keep it that way--to give that section a keen edge, it seems to me, is to invite a nasty accident. With the... Read more
This is a nice knife.

It fits my hand waaay better than knifes with finger grooves built into it.
The handle has a hard rubber-like feel to it that is easy to grip and will not slip in your hand.
It has a lanyard tube at the butt, with a lanyard large enough to easily wrap around my hand.
The handle slabs are 'fuzed' together around the tang. There are no rivets.

The blade did not come very sharp from the factory, but it wasn't dull.
It was easy to sharpen using a stone.
It has a rough, tough looking black coating on it.
The blade is full tang.
There is a top edge blade at the front of the knife.

The sheath is sturdy, works well as it should.
The metal buttons on the straps have company logos on them.
The sheath is constructed with hard nylon and leather like material.
It is sewn together, with strong metal rivets.

This is a very good knife for the... Read more
This knife is a great size-- not too big or small-- for use as a survival knife pretty much anywhere in the world. It's blade thickness and the quality of its construction give it more than enough strength to take on any job. Even if you had to pry open a door or cut through an auto body to escape, I doubt you could hurt the knife in any significant way.

The handle is very comfortable, and provides plenty of traction in any conditions. The lanyard hole is a must on any survival knife. The sheath is well-designed. This knife has very few flaws.

The knife takes a great edge and holds it quite adequately. The blade thickness keeps it from cutting some materials efficiently, but that is the price you pay for a strong blade. For most cutting tasks, this knife is great. Only the most delicate work would be a problem. If you want this blade strength and also the cutting ability of a slimmer knife, you'll have to spend many times the price on a knife with a full... Read more
