This solution can be used on silicone hydrogel and soft (hydrophilic) lenses while still in the eye. These drops are used for preventing protein deposits and buildups that come with constant use of contact lenses. The Opti-Free Puremoist Rewetting Drops formula is considered thimerosal-free and sorbic acid-free.
