【Orchid Katana】 The Orchid Katana is a hand forged, full tang Japanese katana built on a 28.75-inch blade of 1045 Carbon Steel, balanced for a two-handed grip at 40.75 inches overall.
【Hand-Tempered Blade & Edge】 The blade is heat-tempered to draw out a soft wavy temper line along the functional edge, then finished to an edge suited to dojo practice. The blade keeps a solid, full-bodied cross-section.
【Tsuba & Rayskin Handle】 The mounting is led by a black iron tsuba with a gold floral leaf-spray overlay, while the handle is wood over white rayskin (samegawa), wrapped in black cotton ito with gold floral menuki and a brass habaki.
【Full Tang & Specifications】 The full tang is secured with bamboo mekugi, and the blade rests in a deep royal-blue glossy lacquered wood saya with a navy sageo; blade 28.75 in, handle 10.75 in, overall 40.75 in.
【What's in the Box】 In the box you receive the katana, its blue saya (scabbard), a protective sword bag, and a packaging tube; a display stand is not included.
