The Parker stainless steel 316 hexagonal nipple is a pipe fitting with male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on both ends for connecting and extending two pieces of female pipe. It has NPT threads for creating tighter seals than straight threads and is made from stainless steel 316, which is higher strength and more corrosion resistant than stainless steel 304. The hexagonal shape allows for increased leverage during installation and disassembly with a wrench. This fitting meets standards ANSI B31.1 and B1.20.1 for quality assurance.
