Comments From Other Readers

“The author manages to cover a lot of ground in a relatively small amount of pages. Pearl Harbor sent shockwaves through the world, and that sense of shock and disbelief is captured here. Great look at one of America’s pivotal moments.” – Henry C. (Las Cruces, USA)

“The heroes section of the book was particularly intriguing to me, simply because acts of heroism in times of peril are astounding in and of themselves. This day, which caught everyone by surprise, makes those that performed these great acts true heroes that thought on their feet and helped to prevent even more lives from being lost.” – Josh A. (Lynchburg, USA)

“I remember hearing my grandfather speak of Pearl Harbor often. The nation was truly taken aback by the events of that day, and it’s no wonder that the war effort was given such strong support from then on. This book leaves no detail undiscussed, and is a great starting look into a broad, interesting topic.” – Mary S. (Staunton, USA)

Reading history is really significant to me as my great grandfather was a solider. I have read different books and watched different movies on the Naval Battle of Pearl Harbor; but a few questions always struck my mind that has not been answered.
Ryan Jenkins has written a fluid and effective account of Pearl Harbor, which has a good amount of detail in such a short book. Reading this eBook helps to put the historic buildup to America's admission into World War II into better perspective. Not only this book is about the heart-breaking war events of December 7 1941, but it is also about remembrance of some brave Pearl Harbor heroes.

The book is an absolute page turner. The book grabs a hold of you in the first few pages and never let it go. One of the best short Word War II books on the kindle I have ever read. I consider myself as a World War II "buff"; however, I believe it is one of the best short History books on kindle I've ever read.
The Second World War was as much the war between groups as it was conflict between individual countries. Though the final effect was a war that had almost everyone in the world involved, nevertheless there were individual countries who suffered heavy losses and casualties. The Pearl Harbor was one such instance during the Second World War. Just like the invasion of the Normandy beach which was a turning point in the war, so was the attack on Pearl Harbour an important aspect.
The author starts right from the beginning with the first encounter of US and Japan in 1853; and as they say it started with a war and finally ended with a war. The author has used this framework of conflict between these two nations to write about the incidents that finally led up to the Pearl Harbour attack. The Pearl Harbour was entirely a military exercise but unlike any other military exercise it has never failed to catch the common man’s imagination as it does in this book.
WW2; a sad and painful memory . Ryan Jenkins has maintained to give al the information's regarding the conflict and war between the participated countries. However the world war 2 has made many losses to individual country, many great missions which we till remember now was mentioned in this book, for example 'the Pearl Harbour '

The author has given the conflict between America and Japan and the strategies and stand that were taken by both countries. It is a book which give us so much information regarding world war 2.

I recommend this book to every one those who love history and those who want to know more about the happenings and incidents in world war 2
This is really a good book ... and a real Page-turn over
